University History

Until I resigned my tenured position, I was Senior Lecturer, Course Coordinator and Clinical Practicum Supervisor in the School of Psychology at Australian Catholic University, where I had been on staff for over a decade.

I hold qualifications from The Ohio University [Harvard on the Hocking] (Doctor of Philosophy), The University of Queensland (Master of Educational Studies), Australian Catholic University (Bachelor of Education), and Queensland University of Technology (Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma in Counselling). I am responsible for over 500 contributions to publications and presentations in counselling, psychology, and education.

I am a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, a Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

I am a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist with a fulfilling private practice providing counselling, mediation, training, clinical supervision, assessment and medico-legal services. I have completed terms on the editorial boards of prestigious peer-reviewed journals Counselor Education and Supervision, Professional School Counseling, and the Australian Journal of Guidance and Counselling. I was awarded for Leadership in International Collaboration by the American Counseling Association. I made significant contributions to national associations including the initial development of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and was twice President of the Queensland Guidance and Counselling Association.
